- 62% of men and 52% of women approve of the raids.
- More men (53%) than women (44%) favor prosecuting sanctuary officials who refuse to comply with immigration enforcement.
- 58% of white voters, 54% of Black voters, 57% of Hispanic voters, and 50% of other minorities approve of the raids.
- Black voters were more likely to oppose federal prosecution of sanctuary city officials than other racial groups.
Trump Voters Overwhelmingly Approve of Raids
A deep partisan divide is evident in the survey results. Among those who voted for Trump, a resounding 87% approve of the raids, while 70% of former Vice President Kamala Harris’ supporters disapprove.
Trump Border Czar’s Heated Exchange with CNN
The immigration debate took center stage in the media this week when Trump’s Border Czar, Tom Homan, clashed with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins in a tense interview regarding the administration’s deportation efforts.
During an exchange on “The Source,” Collins pressed Homan on whether Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers would arrest illegal immigrants hiding in sensitive locations such as schools, churches, and hospitals.
“What is the standard, I guess, to go into an elementary school?” Collins asked, citing concerns from immigration advocates about potential fear among parents.
Homan fired back, making it clear that enforcement efforts would focus on individuals who pose security risks.
“It shouldn’t be a chilling effect unless your child is a terrorist or a public safety threat. If they are a public safety threat, a national security threat, they should be chilled. They should be afraid because we’re looking for them,” Homan stated.
Collins pressed further, expressing concern for parents of children who might be illegal immigrants themselves.

“They’re not off the table either. I mean, they’re in the country illegally, they have got a problem,” Homan said. “I mean, it’s not OK — look, we — it’s not OK to enter this country illegally. It’s a crime. And that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I’m in Switzerland illegally. So we’re going to enforce the laws of this country.”
“National security threats and public safety threats have no safe haven in this country, and we will go where we got to go,” he added.

With elements of the FBI now joining ICE’s mass deportation operations, the Trump administration’s immigration policies continue to be a major flashpoint in national politics. As the survey indicates, the majority of Americans back these enforcement actions, reinforcing Trump’s campaign promise to put America’s borders and national security first.
