The Pensacola News Journal provided the following report:

According to a Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office incident report, the 13-year-old repeatedly threatened to shoot up Holley Navarre Middle School and stab kids who irritated him.

Authorities questioned other students who interacted with the adolescent as well as people who saw the social media posts he posted. The adolescent wrote, among other things, the following things in the messages to his friends:

“I want to shoot up the school.”

If I get a gun I’m gonna shoot up hnms lol.”

“I’m getting a wrath and natural selection shirt so maybe but I don’t think many ppl know what the columbine shooters look like.”

“Okay so it’s been like 3-4 weeks since I got on my new antidepressants and they aren’t working but they’re suppose to by now so I have no hope in getting better so why not kill the losers at school.”

The Miami Herald jumped to the shooter’s defense right away, claiming that he was detained for “creating memes”:

Elon Musk responded:

Their bogus headline was fact-checked using the Twitter “Community Notes” feature:

“An incident report released Thursday afternoon by the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office allege that the 13-year-old made repeated threats to shoot up Holley Navarre Middle School and to stab students who angered him”

Rebekah Jones immediately attributed her son’s detention for making these threats to Ron DeSantis.

In a case that garnered national attention, a former data scientist from Florida by the name of Jones alleged that the state’s Health Department had falsified data regarding COVID-19 on purpose. Jones’s accusations, which were exceedingly rare and divisive, were directed against Governor Ron DeSantis. Notwithstanding her assertions, an inspector general’s assessment eventually found no proof to back up her claims.
