“Now I am absolutely voting for Trump. The indictment was the last straw for me, because Trump has suffered so much political abuse.”
To better grasp their thoughts on the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office’s indictment of former President Donald Trump, Reuters recently spoke with 35 prominent Republicans in a series of interviews. It’s interesting to note that the majority of Republicans chose Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as their front-runner for the 2024 election. Yet, after the indictment, over three-quarters of the 20 Republicans who backed DeSantis were thinking about supporting Trump once again. This information has prompted several inquiries regarding the extent of Trump’s political power even though he is no longer in government.

Larry White, a 75-year-old Nevadan, was quoted by Reuters as saying, “Now I am absolutely voting for Trump. The indictment was the last straw for me, because Trump has suffered so much political abuse. I think he’s the strongest candidate to contest what the left is doing. I’m all in.”
White, a well-known artist and self-described Republican conservative, initially backed DeSantis because of his anticipated advantage in the general election. Yet following Bragg’s indictment, White recently declared his support for President Trump after being persuaded by convincing evidence.
Pepe Kahn, a guy speaking to Reuters on Saturday while at a Republican club meeting in Henderson, Nevada, stated, “I was really for Ron DeSantis. I’m now more likely to support Trump than before. I think people who were more neutral than before will now go in to bat for him. This is the most frightening thing I’ve ever seen in the US.”
The Silver State has established a reputation for voting in its primaries as early as possible. Prior to the rest of the nation, Nevada voters get the opportunity to express their opinions on their party’s presidential candidates, and history has shown that these votes can be a reliable indicator of who will ultimately win the nomination. It makes sense that politicians and political junkies alike are eagerly anticipating Nevada’s primary.
Republican voters appear to have conflicting thoughts about their decision between DeSantis and Trump, according to a recent Reuters piece. Twenty of the 35 voters surveyed said they supported DeSantis, with 14 switching back to Trump’s side and six remaining loyal to the Florida governor. It appears that GOP voters are still discussing who would make the ideal party leader.
35 of them agreed that the accusations were false. “Meritless, politically motivated persecution of Trump,” reports Reuters.
Nevada voters have spoken, and it appears that Donald Trump’s recent jump in the polls following his indictment doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov survey. In fact, he has already surpassed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by a commanding margin of 26 percentage points as the leading GOP candidate for the 2024 presidential elections! It’s obvious that Trump’s popularity among the Republican voting base is still rising, and the contest for the nomination is still very much open. Set the seatbelts and let’s see where this crazy journey leads us!
Over the weekend, supporters of former president Donald Trump gathered en masse outside the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis rekindled the crowd’s enthusiasm by speaking about his most recent book, energizing the throng and sparking conversation throughout the neighborhood.
When fervent fans gathered outside an event, a loud cry of “we love Trump” reverberated through the streets. Outside the renowned Mar-a-Lago estate, a sea of admirers excitedly shouted the same slogan to express their fervent support.
