Vice President Kamala Harris is once again in the spotlight, but this time not for the reasons she’d hope. As she pushes forward with her campaign to eliminate the Senate filibuster, she faces growing backlash from within her own party. The filibuster, a time-honored Senate rule allowing extended debate and blocking of controversial legislation, has become a battleground for Democrats and Republicans alike. While this may appeal to some in her party, others view her approach as reckless, threatening the delicate balance of power in the Senate.
