The Perry County Sheriff now claims to have discovered a gun at the location of his purported suicide, contradicting a report that said no firearms had been found there the day before. This new information raises more questions than it does answers about this puzzling case.
Sheriff Scott Montgomery checked the case files after an abandoned BMW Vehicle was found at Heifer Ranch in Perryville to find that no weapons had been found during the investigation. Considering that Little Rock is just 60 miles away, law enforcement authorities quickly responded and departed with the knowledge that no crime had been committed.

He sent his spouse a text message that included the mysterious phrase “found a perfect place for a nap in the sun.”
Authorities decided yesterday that Middleton’s enigmatic suicide at Perryville’s Heifer Ranch would be considered a suicide. Back in May 2022, his body was found suspended from a tree with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
Epstein’s access to the White House had been made possible by Middleton’s strong connections on several occasions.

Tragic events occurred at Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas, in May of last year. Middleton, 60, was discovered dead in the well-liked natural area about an hour outside Little Rock.

Deputy Jeremy Lawson of the Perry County Sheriff’s Department was summoned to a ranch to look into an abandoned BMW Vehicle when he discovered an initial report describing what had happened.
“Almost immediately after stepping around the corner of the cottage she started yelling,” Lawson gave an explanation, describing how ranch hand Samantha McElroy welcomed him.
“Upon reaching the back of the cottage she pointed towards the rear of the property and asked if that was a person,” he continued.
“I could see what at first appeared to be a man sitting near a tree, as my eyes focused better, I could see a rope of some type going from the tree limb to the male.”
Lawson arrived at the fast conclusion that Middleton had died.
“I could see that he had a gunshot wound to the chest and that he had a knot tied in an extension cord that was around his neck and it was attached to the limb directly above him,” Lawson noted.
He highlighted that there was no weapon present at the time of the occurrence.
Following a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Middleton had used a novel tactic to assure his early death: he wrapped a string around his neck while simultaneously shooting himself in the head with a shotgun.
He was discovered with the shotgun 30 feed from his body. “due to the recoil from the discharge and the height and angle of the ground” according to Carter.
Middleton allegedly wrote the following to his wife Rhea: “Going to rest for a while. You are a great Mom and wife babe.”
“Please be happy today and get some sun. It will make you feel better. I love you.”
Carter remembers Middleton dragging a seat to the treeline with amazing power so they could take in the picturesque view that stretched over the valley.
“He stood on top of the bench and tied one end of the extension cord to a large limb of the tree and the other end around his neck.”
“It is believed that Mr. Middleton then took the firearm and placed the barrels against his chest and then reached out with his left hand and placed his first finger on the first trigger.”
“It is then believed that Mr. Middleton pulled the trigger on the firearm casing (sic) it to discharge and strike him in the chest and then he fell from the bench causing the extension cord to become tight cutting off his breathing.”
