James Comer (R-KY), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, has asked Georges Bergès to testify before Congress and provide further details on the art sales in January. This comes after remarks made by Rep. Comer in 2022 that suggested Chinese purchasers of Hunter’s artwork may be connected to former President Biden—an accusation that is now ready for further investigation.
A 2020 Senate subcommittee study highlighted the murky underbelly of the art world, exposing a plethora of unethical and corrupt behaviors. Moreover, Breitbart has noted in its analysis that this market is being exploited as a means of money laundering.
“Why would anyone pay Hunter Biden top dollar for artwork that is arguably worthless? He’s no Pablo Picasso,” Comer has stated. “Foreign adversaries, including China, have used transactions involving sham art sales to launder money & evade sanctions.”
Hunter Biden’s bank records were searched as a result of Congressman Comer’s inquiry into suspected crimes involving wire fraud and money laundering. As this story continues to develop, US institutions have expressed concern around 150 dubious payments related to overseas commercial deals involving the Biden family.
The dubious international links of the Biden family were exposed in Peter Schweizer’s books Hidden Empires and Profiles in Corruption published in 2018 and 2020, respectively. Hunter Biden’s legal career has once again come under scrutiny when it was revealed on Thursday that he had failed to pay the $75 Client Security Fund fee necessary to practice law in Delaware. This is the third instance of this lapse, which has eventually led to his license being suspended. When it comes to making required payments, it seems that there is a trend emerging with Mr. Biden.
Due to an error in his listed residence, Hunter Biden’s law license has been suspended. The House of Sweden in Washington, D.C., was the office Hunter used at this period; he used it to try to arrange a $1 million contract with Ye Jianming, the chairman of China Energy Co., back in 2017. Breitbart news sources claim that Mr. Jiang gave the hunter a diamond worth around $80,000 as a token of his gratitude for the completion of the aforementioned arrangement.
The anarchy in front of us is beyond disarray and disorder.
