The White House is demanding answers after a bizarre incident at the United Nations raised serious security concerns involving President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
On Tuesday, during what should have been a routine moment as the President and First Lady entered the United Nations building in New York City, the escalator they stepped on abruptly stopped — right as they were boarding it. Reports quickly surfaced claiming UN staffers may have intentionally caused the stoppage.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt minced no words about the seriousness of the situation.
“If someone at the UN intentionally stopped the escalator as the President and First Lady were stepping on, they need to be fired and investigated immediately,” Leavitt declared.
