Establishment Republicans in the race for the GOP nominee are scheming to avoid Joe Biden’s attempts to use the legal system to exclude Trump from the 2024 election.
They take care not to support Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, or anti-Trump special counsel Jack Smith.
Contrarily, Joe Biden and Democrat prosecutors regularly arresting Trump is their most successful nomination tactic.
During her recent appearance on CBS’ Face the Nation, Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, illustrated the enormous difficulty of walking a fine line.
Haley was questioned about the fresh accusations made by Smith against Trump in the Mar-a-Lago document probe during an interview with presenter Margaret Brennan.
Haley’s covert plan to undermine Trump overwhelmed her attempt to support him.
“If these accusations are true, it’s incredibly dangerous to our national security,” Haley claimed. “But again, this is coming down from a Department of Justice that, frankly, the American people don’t trust.”
But when she asserted that the politically driven accusations against Trump were true and ought to keep him from winning the nomination, Haley seemed to side with Joe Biden and Jack Smith.

“None of us want to be talking about indictments. I don’t even know if it’s the third, fourth, or fifth indictment right now, but what I can tell you is, it’s a distraction, and frankly, the media is talking about it nonstop. But when I do these town halls, the American public is not talking to me about that. They want to know what’s going to happen, how we’re going to go and change government for the better. They’re worried about the future for their kids and I think we owe it to them to be answering that, not how Trump’s going to defend himself,” Haley added.
According to many Republicans, Joe Biden’s alleged use of the legal system to defend his family and target political rivals is one of the worst scandals in American history.
According to polls, Republican supporters are more likely to punish Haley for failing to handle this matter than to punish Trump for being singled out by the Biden Justice Department.
