RFK’s Big Move: Big Pharma PANICS!

The pharmaceutical industry is on high alert following Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination to head the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in the incoming Trump administration. Known for his outspoken criticism of Big Pharma, Kennedy has vowed to address what he sees as the harmful practices of drug companies, particularly their direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising—a marketing method permitted only in the United States and New Zealand.

Kennedy, who has long questioned the ethics of pharmaceutical advertising, raised eyebrows during a recent public appearance alongside Tucker Carlson. Speaking in Glendale, Arizona, he declared, “One of the things I’m going to advise Donald Trump to do in order to correct the chronic disease epidemic is to ban pharmaceutical advertising on TV. There’s only two countries in the world that allow pharmaceutical advertising on the airwaves. One of them is New Zealand and the other is us and we have the highest disease rate, and we buy more drugs and they’re more expensive than anywhere in the world.”

Get rid of [painful inflammation] today…thank me later?

This bold stance has sparked alarm among drugmakers, who view Kennedy’s potential leadership as a significant threat to their bottom line. Industry insiders worry that a ban on DTC advertising could severely undermine profits, with some analysts predicting the move could mark the most significant disruption to the pharmaceutical sector in decades.
