He said that the whole situation was an accident and that his brother, an unemployed EMT, had been informed that “there was a security job for him there.”
Something about this tale doesn’t add up. Why was Adrian Aispuro carrying a US Marshal credential if he was attending the event to look for a security job?
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: According to local ABC7, Adrian Aispuro wanted to be taken to visit Robert Kennedy in custody for security.
Aispuro was approached by a private security team before Kennedy’s address on Friday night, according to a statement released by the campaign on Saturday afternoon. Aispuro maintained that he was a member of the candidate’s security detail and requested to be transported to Kennedy “immediately.”
“The security imposter, who was wearing sunglasses, appeared to have laid his plans in advance, as he was carrying what appeared to be a U.S. Marshal badge on a lanyard and belt clip federal ID,” the campaign said. “The Kennedy campaign is seeking additional information from law enforcement authorities.”
