Rep. Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, is being pressed by two Republican House members to testify about her role in the security breach of the US Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.
“The reason there wasn’t a proper security presence on that day goes right to the speaker’s staff and the speaker’s office. As you go back and look at the communications, there’s this pattern that develops where the Sergeant of Arms is meeting with Pelosi’s staff. Many of those meetings, Republican staff wasn’t allowed to be there, but they had this pattern where everything had to run through her office, her staff, before the Sergeant of Arms could make a decision,” Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio stated this in response to a study by House Republicans that described security lapses on that particular day at the Capitol.

Rep. Troy Nehls, a Republican from Texas, responded in a similar manner: “And Nancy Pelosi. You do have questions you need to answer … Nancy, we’ll get you, and we’ll fly you back from Italy once you’re the ambassador,” The crowd laughed when Congressman Nehls mocked rumors that President Biden was thinking about selecting Speaker Pelosi for the position of U.S. Ambassador to Italy.
Jordan is investigating the Biden family’s possible participation in issues that need further investigation.
When he recently said “something is up” during an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Ohio Representative Jim Jordan reignited interest in his 2019 controversy. Media outlets’ handling of the topic has come under fire after earlier dismissing accusations of corruption evidence based on documents and emails taken from the laptop found at a computer repair shop.
“So that’s what happened. That’s why this is all connected because the influence of big media, big tech, and big government in impacting our election — I think we said this last week, Sean. My colleagues had this in the committee a few weeks ago, Matt Gaetz. He said, when will the FBI stay out of elections and let us, the people, decide?” he said.
“In 2016, they went after Trump’s campaign, 2018, it was a Mueller investigation, 2020, they suppressed the Hunter Biden story, 2022, 91 days before the midterm election, they raid his home, and now, just two weeks ago, three days after he announces for the 2024 race, they name a special counsel and it’s not just anybody, it’s Jack Smith and the record that he has of weaponizing the government to go after the people,” Jordan added.
“It sure looks like Joe Biden was involved,” Jordan added. “So, my, how this story has changed. And now, we find out these text messages and emails that link the entire family, not just Hunter and Joe and — but also uncle, the — Joe’s brother, James Biden, is involved in this as well.”
Since secret papers were discovered at Joe Biden’s home and think tank, concerns have been raised regarding the protection of sensitive data.
The U.S. Secret Service said on Sunday that while a security team is watching over Biden’s Delaware home, no lists of visitors are kept at any one time.
In order to promote openness, Republican Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, is pleading with President Biden to make his visitor records accessible.
“Given the serious national security implications, the White House must provide the Wilmington residence’s visitor log,” Comer wrote to Ron Klain, the chief of staff at the White House. “As Chief of Staff, you are head of the Executive Office of the President and bear responsibility to be transparent with the American people on these important issues related to the White House’s handling of this matter.”
Comer added: “President Biden has spent a large amount of time at his Delaware residence since assuming office. Americans deserve to know who President Biden is meeting with, especially since we know that he routinely met with Hunter’s business associates during his time as vice president. The Biden Administration must provide transparency to the American people.”
Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina urged President Biden to provide an explanation for his trips to Delaware at a time when the general public was expected to adhere to travel restrictions due to the epidemic “into close proximity with the President, in an official or personal capacity, is screened by the Secret Service”
and that “somewhere” exists a record of their proximity to the president.
