Fast forward to March 4, 2022—Kioko was arrested again, this time on a marijuana-related charge, remarkably similar to charges her brother faced years earlier. That case was later dismissed in August 2023.

Incredibly, the very next day after that dismissal, Kioko was arrested yet again but later released under magistrate bond conditions, according to official court filings.

On Wednesday, as immigration officers processed a busload of detainees, chaos erupted when Jahn opened fire with a rifle, killing one illegal immigrant and wounding two others.

Police quickly moved in, surrounding Jahn on a nearby rooftop. The standoff ended abruptly when the gunman turned the weapon on himself, firing a single shot to the head.

Witnesses said the weapon used in the assault was a hunting rifle, similar to the one linked to the killing of Charlie Kirk earlier this month.

At a press briefing, the FBI confirmed disturbing evidence left behind by the shooter. Officials revealed Jahn had scrawled “ANTI-ICE” on one of his rifle rounds, a chilling indicator of his hostility toward immigration officers.

“I can confirm at this time that the FBI is investigating this incident as an act of targeted violence,” stated Joe Rothrock, the FBI’s special agent in charge in Dallas, according to the NY Post.

Rothrock added, “It is unfortunately just the latest example we’ve seen of targeted violence, to include here in north Texas where back on July 4 we saw a coordinated attack against an immigration center in Alvarado.”

Near the scene, police found a blue Toyota Corolla believed to belong to Jahn. Affixed to the vehicle was a handmade sign reading:

“Radioactive fallout from nuclear detonations has passed over these areas more than 2x since 1951.”

The map on the sign appeared to trace back to Richard Miller, a nuclear researcher known for documenting fallout from U.S. atomic tests during the 1950s and 1960s.

State records show Jahn was a registered independent voter who participated in the 2020 Democratic primary. His last recorded vote was cast in the 2024 election, officials confirmed.

This attack, now under federal investigation, underscores growing concerns about politically motivated violence targeting immigration officials across the country.
