The Republican Party wasted no time seizing on Tuesday night’s shocking election results out of New York City — results that have sent Democrats into panic mode.
After 34-year-old socialist Zohran Mamdani clinched a stunning victory over former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa, Republicans immediately saw a political goldmine. Mamdani — a self-described “democratic socialist” — made history as the city’s first Muslim mayor, running on a platform of free buses, rent freezes, government-run grocery stores, and a $30 minimum wage.
But while progressives cheered, Republicans saw the writing on the wall — and moved swiftly to turn the far-left’s celebration into a nationwide warning.
Just hours after the polls closed, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) launched a digital blitz targeting Democrats across the country. Their new ad campaign — now running in nearly 50 battleground House districts — zeroes in on Mamdani as the face of what Republicans call “the radical left takeover.”
“A radical left earthquake just hit America. The epicenter: New York,” the narrator declares in the hard-hitting NRCC spot.
