Texas is cracking down hard on radical educators who openly glorified violence after the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk. More than 100 public school teachers in the Lone Star State are now facing the permanent end of their careers after being caught cheering Kirk’s murder and, in some cases, encouraging even more bloodshed online.

Abbott and TEA Lower the Boom
Governor Greg Abbott announced Sunday that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has officially launched investigations into the disturbing online activity of these teachers. Abbott was clear: those involved will not just face suspensions — they will be banned for life from teaching in Texas classrooms.
Abbott later doubled down on social media, writing that Texas “will not tolerate educators who call for or incite violence.”
TEA Issues Scathing Letter
TEA Commissioner Mike Morath sent a strongly worded letter to superintendents across the state condemning the despicable behavior. He made it clear that celebrating murder is not only unprofessional but may also violate the Educators’ Code of Ethics.
