The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to a New York Times report, has revoked the top-secret security clearances of three whistleblowers, raising questions about their “allegiance to the United States.” The FBI wrote to the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan, informing him that two of the agents, Marcus Allen and Stephen Friend, were scheduled to testify before the committee about the weaponization of the federal government.
Three agents were placed on leave after they voiced their displeasure with the FBI’s handling of the investigation from January 6 and their conviction that the organization was being used as a weapon against conservatives. Their allegations were revealed in a private meeting with the select committee in February, according to the Daily Mail. The agents said that they were concerned when FBI leadership told them to prioritize “domestic violent extremism” investigations over conventional investigative techniques in January 6 cases.
Mr. Allen will provide the committee with further evidence on Thursday. Agents allegedly assert that the FBI changed crime statistics related to domestic terrorism to support the Biden Administration’s goals.
Allen’s top-secret security clearance was withdrawn by the bureau after he expressed support for organizations that use or advocate for force. FBI authorities cited an email Allen sent that contained a link to a story concerning possible federal law enforcement infiltration of Capitol crowds as generating major concerns.
