Sarah Ferguson’s controversial ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein have finally caught up with her. Emails released in the Department of Justice’s massive Epstein file dump revealed Ferguson referring to Epstein as “the brother I have always wished for” just weeks after he was released from jail for prostituting minors.
The city of York has now taken decisive action.
York Acts Swiftly
On March 26, the City of York Council voted unanimously to revoke Ferguson’s Freedom of the City of York—an honorary title she received as a wedding gift in 1987 when she married Prince Andrew.
The decision came swiftly. Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital, the speed of the vote was “totally unheard of” and council members were eager to “draw a line” to protect the city’s reputation. Not a single council member spoke in Ferguson’s defense.
Labour council leader Claire Douglas issued a pointed statement: those who “continued to associate with Epstein after his crimes became widely known fall well short” of the values required to hold York’s highest honor.
