What was meant to be a celebration of music quickly turned into another platform for far-left activism, drawing applause from Hollywood elites while alienating millions of Americans watching at home.
Among the winners was singer Kehlani, who took home awards for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for her track “Folded.” While the music itself received recognition, it was Kehlani’s inflammatory political remarks—not her talent—that dominated headlines and sparked controversy across social media.
During her acceptance speech, Kehlani veered sharply away from music and into outright hostility toward U.S. law enforcement. In a moment that shocked many viewers, the singer used the national broadcast to attack Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“I hope everybody’s inspired to join together as a community of artists and speak out against what’s going on,” Kehlani said.
