Officer Investigated for Calling a Man… a Man?

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Swinson recounted, “And he says, ‘Excuse me, sir, next time you have to use the restroom, you’re going to have to go in either the men’s restroom or the family restroom down the hall.’”

Swinson told reporters she responded calmly, saying, “And then I politely told him I’ve been using the women’s restroom here for months.”

The officer, according to Swinson, didn’t back down and continued speaking firmly.

“And he goes, ‘But you’re not a woman. That’s obvious,’” Swinson said.

At that point, Swinson said she tried to de-escalate the conversation, asking whether the officer worked for the library.

“And he says, ‘What difference does that make? This is a police matter.’ He’s really mad,” Swinson said. “He said, ‘This is a police matter. It’s a safety issue. There are women, little girls in there,’ like he’s some avenging hero or something.”

Swinson claimed she replied, “Hey, there’s no reason to get transphobic.”

According to Swinson, the officer denied any bias and warned her, “You should be thanking me for not taking you in right now.”

The Left’s Outrage Machine Activates

Almost immediately, left-wing activist organizations like the Transgender Law Center and Georgia Equality pounced on the story, accusing the officer of “transphobia.” Both groups called for disciplinary action and argued that allowing men who identify as women into female spaces is a “human right.”

These groups dismissed the officer’s concern for women’s privacy and safety as discrimination — a stance that has infuriated many parents who believe public spaces should protect biological distinctions for safety reasons.

Investigation Underway

The DeKalb County Police Department confirmed that its Internal Affairs division is reviewing the incident.

“Because the investigation is ongoing, we are unable to share additional details at this time,” a department spokesperson said. “The department remains dedicated to treating all members of our community with dignity, respect, and professionalism.”

Public Safety or Political Correctness?

For many, this situation symbolizes the growing clash between public safety and radical gender ideology. An officer who tried to prevent possible discomfort — or worse — for women and girls in a public restroom now faces investigation for doing his job.

Supporters argue the officer acted responsibly, prioritizing the safety of citizens over political correctness. Critics, meanwhile, continue to label even the most basic defense of female privacy as “hate.”

As the investigation continues, the question remains: In today’s America, is it now “transphobic” for law enforcement to recognize biological reality and defend women’s spaces?

Because if that’s where the line is being drawn, countless parents and officers are wondering what — and who — will be protected next.
