The fatal Minneapolis shooting involving ICE agents has once again ignited a national political firestorm.

Within hours of the January 7 incident that killed Renee Good, the country split cleanly down familiar lines. Activists accused federal agents of murder. Elected Democrats rushed to condemn ICE. Cable news locked into outrage mode.
But one unexpected voice completely derailed the narrative.
Renee Good’s former father-in-law, Timmy Macklin, appeared on CNN expecting to be another grieving relative demanding arrests and prosecutions. Instead, he delivered a message that stunned the network and left its audience visibly uncomfortable.
He didn’t blame the agent.
