Kari Lake, a Republican from Arizona, may have reason for optimism after a recent Bluespring Polling survey in her campaign to unseat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema in the 2024 Senate election. With a clear advantage in support, it seems like Lake could really have a chance to topple Sinema.
“An early 2023 survey of likely general election voters illustrates that Senator Kyrsten Sinema’s path to reelection is both complicated and unprecedented. Sinema runs a distant third in a hypothetical three-way race in the general that also includes 2022 GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Democratic Congressman Ruben Gallego,” the survey reported.

Kari Lake is presently leading the competitive three-way Senate campaign with 36%, closely followed by congressman Gallego at 32%, and both are outpacing incumbent Sinema who is only polling at less than 14%. While Sinema receives the support of the majority of Biden 2020 voters (15%), she also manages to surprise 11% of Trump 2020 backers. On election day, it’s impossible to predict how the remaining 16% will vote.
It seems that many Democrats are debating their decision to support Biden for the US Senate while waiting for additional information. A startling 23% of Biden supporters have not yet decided. Kyrsten Sinema’s sole chance of winning the Republican nomination may be to persuade moderate and conservative Republicans who would prefer support an Independent candidate than one who is “flawed.”
Sinema has struggled to gain the support of Hispanic voters, although Gallego has a clear advantage among this important group. Sinema has generally stable support among white Arizonans (17%), although she does especially well among male voters. Gallego, on the other hand, has more success wooing women and is in front of the pack by 4%.
Despite recent encouraging polling data, Lake is resolved to carrying out her campaign against election fraud. She believes that the Supreme Court will finally provide a clear decision on this crucial matter.
After a number of appeals, Lake is making progress toward getting her case reviewed by Arizona’s Supreme Court, the highest court in the state.
“Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson ruled against Lake’s challenge after finding the court was not presented with clear and convincing evidence in the widespread misconduct, she alleged influenced the election results,” Fox News reported. “Lake, on Wednesday, filed an appeal with the Appeals Court on Judge Thompson’s ruling. She also filed a motion to send the appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court, asking to skip a step with the Appeals Court. Arizona’s Supreme Court denied the request to transfer the appeal.”
In the evening on Wednesday, Lake tweeted the following: “My court case will be going before the Appeals Court prior to the Arizona Supreme Court because it’s already been scheduled for review. This decision was done without prejudice & I am confident the case will end up in their hands eventually. We’re moving forward.”
