Madeline Brame recently expressed her displeasure with Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s hypocritical approach to the city’s crime in an appearance with Fox & Friends, and she didn’t hold back. Brame emphasized the unfair treatment of victims and offenders when it comes to justice with sincere feeling. Her statements served as a potent plea for fairness and responsibility in our justice system.
When Sergeant Hason Correa was fatally stabbed in 2018, it was an unimaginable tragedy for Brame. Her pain was only made worse when she learned that Bragg, the prosecutor in charge of the case, had withdrawn the charges against two of the offenders.

“If no one is above the law, then I don’t understand how Alvin Bragg could dismiss murder and gang assault indictments against two of the people involved in the murder of my son,” Brame said.
“We see it every single day in the Black and Brown communities. Every day, all day. Everyone is above the law. They’re not even making it to the DA’s office,” she added.
According to Fox News, her son’s killer was found guilty and given a sentence of 20 years to life in prison, but Bragg received a reduced term for submitting plea bargains to two additional criminals.
Brame wrote an open letter to Bragg last year asking, “Why would you dismiss murder charges against half of the participants, when the murder and their roles were caught on video?”
“The video, the facts, the evidence, and the law about the murder did not change in three years — the only thing that changed was the District Attorney,” she said. “Our family and our community deserve better.”
It appears like Bragg is wasting too much time on pointless charges against his political rivals, rather than giving the prosecution of serious criminals in NYC priority.
