The former state attorney for Baltimore, Mosby, was found guilty of mortgage fraud after making fraudulent claims on loan applications to buy two vacation houses in Florida.
Mosby was found guilty in November on two federal charges of perjury for fabricating a COVID-19 pandemic-related financial hardship in order to obtain money from the city’s retirement fund.

Mosby is awaiting punishment in each instance.
When Mosby called President Trump a “Clown” and threatened to imprison federal officials working for the Trump administration to quell BLM riots in Baltimore in 2020, she became well-known across the country.

After a protracted criminal trial, Marilyn Mosby, a former Baltimore prosecutor, was found guilty on Tuesday of mortgage fraud after she testified that she had unintentionally made false claims on loan applications to buy two vacation houses in Florida.
After debating for the majority of the day, the jury returned a split judgment on Tuesday evening, finding Mosby not guilty of a second mortgage fraud allegation, according to The Baltimore Sun.
In a second trial that took place in November, she was found guilty on two counts of perjury and is currently awaiting punishment in both instances.
Mosby was charged federally when it was alleged that she took early access to her retirement account, using the money for down payments on houses in Florida, by claiming a hardship caused by the epidemic. The prosecution stated that she had misled on the mortgage applications more than once.
Following the dismissal of all six charges against the six police officers implicated in Freddie Gray’s murder, President Trump urged Mosby to “prosecute herself” in 2016.
