Missing Airman Reporter Breaks Silence After Donald Trump Threat

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

The mission itself has been described as nothing short of extraordinary. The downed airman reportedly survived multiple encounters with hostile forces, demonstrating remarkable endurance and courage while U.S. troops worked around the clock to bring him home safely.

Trump made it clear that the premature release of information may have dramatically escalated the danger. Speaking candidly to reporters, he said:

“As you probably know, we didn’t talk about the first one for an hour, and then somebody leaked something, which we’ll hopefully find that leaker; we’re looking very hard to find that leaker, and talked about there’s somebody missing,” Trump said to reporters on Monday.

He continued, emphasizing the gravity of the situation:

“They basically said that we have one, and there’s somebody missing. Well, they didn’t know there was somebody missing until this leaker gave the information!”

Trump went further, signaling that legal consequences could be on the table for whoever was responsible:

“So whoever it is, we think we’ll be able to find it out, because we’re going to go to the media company that released it. And we’re going to say, national security, give it up or go to jail.”

The stakes, according to Trump, could not have been higher. He warned that the leak may have tipped off Iranian authorities, putting the stranded airman directly in harm’s way:

“There’s some things you can’t do. When they did that, all of a sudden, the entire country of Iran knew that there was a pilot that was somewhere on their land that was fighting for his life!”

He added further details that underscore the seriousness of the breach:

“Because a leaker leaked – because we have one – we rescued one, but there’s another one out there that we’re trying to get, actually, the country, Iran, put out.. offering a very big award for anybody that captures the pilot.”

“They put this mission, that man at great risk, and hundreds of people looking for him!” he added.

Trump closed with a stark warning:

“The person that did the story will go to jail if he doesn’t say!”

While multiple major U.S. outlets—including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Axios, and Fox News—covered the downed aircraft, attention quickly shifted overseas.

Israel’s Channel 12 was among the earliest to report on the incident. Soon after, one of its most recognizable journalists stepped forward.

Amit Segal, a well-known political commentator, acknowledged on his Telegram channel that he had published early information related to the incident. In his post, he referenced Trump’s remarks and suggested his outlet had been first to break the story:

“Trump: We didn’t talk about the first one we rescued, and then someone leaked something about the navigator. We’re going to find whoever leaked it. Whoever it is – we’ll manage to track them down through the network that published it, we’ll ask for the leaker. We’ll say it’s national security, and therefore it could end up in prison.

“As you may recall, this was first published here.”

However, when pressed further, Segal appeared to soften his stance. Speaking later, he admitted uncertainty about whether he had truly been the first to release the information, stating he was “not sure” of the timeline.

Despite that shift, he remained firm on one key point—he would not reveal his sources under any circumstances.

The timeline of events adds another layer of intrigue. Reports indicate that Segal posted an update on social media citing a “Western source” who confirmed that one American crew member had been rescued. That detail, in turn, implied that another remained unaccounted for—information that may have triggered the chain reaction Trump warned about.

The controversy now raises serious questions about the balance between press freedom and national security, particularly during active military operations. As calls grow louder for accountability, the focus remains on whether the leak truly endangered lives—and if so, what consequences may follow.
