In a lengthy statement, Graham expressed disbelief over the secret surveillance:
“It is now clear that my official and campaign phone records were subpoenaed by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Worse, a judicial gag order was issued prohibiting me from being informed of the subpoena for at least a year because Judge Boasberg believed that if I were informed, it would lead to witness tampering and destruction of evidence. That is legal slander. I would like to know the factual predicate for issuing the gag order.
My carrier, Verizon, was extremely irresponsible by complying with this subpoena. Instead, they should have followed AT&T’s example and declined to turn over the records because it is a violation of the speech and debate clause of the U.S. Constitution.”
Graham didn’t stop there — he called for a full congressional investigation into Boasberg’s conduct, even suggesting it could be grounds for impeachment.
“The misconduct here is worthy of a Watergate-style investigation,” Graham said, urging the formation of a Senate Select Committee. “This fishing expedition against at least ten Republican U.S. Senators by Special Counsel Jack Smith is the biggest violation of separation of powers in our nation’s history.”
He went on to say that the real motive behind this “outrageous conduct” was to stop Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign.
“Three days after Donald Trump announced he would seek the presidency on November 15, 2022, Jack Smith was appointed special counsel,” Graham said. “Within months, 91 felony indictments were issued… I am convinced that if Donald Trump had chosen not to run, none of this would have happened.”

Senator Ted Cruz echoed Graham’s fury, calling for Judge Boasberg’s impeachment during a fiery press conference.
“I am right now calling on the House of Representatives to impeach Judge Boasberg,” Cruz declared. “Judge Boasberg put his robe down, stood up, and said, ‘Sign me up to be part of the partisan vendetta against 20% of the Republicans in the Senate.’”
Cruz said Boasberg’s actions amounted to “a dereliction of duty and a violation of the judicial oath.”
“We are going to get the answers of every person who signed off on this abuse of power — and mark my words, there will be accountability for these zealots who wanted to corrupt the Department of Justice and corrupt the judiciary in order to try to attack their enemies list.”
Mike Benz: “Pam Bondi Has the Power to Act”
Investigative journalist Mike Benz outlined three major federal crimes that Attorney General Pam Bondi could pursue immediately against Judge Boasberg in connection to the Arctic Frost scandal.
Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law (18 U.S.C. § 242) — Boasberg allegedly deprived U.S. senators of their constitutional rights by issuing a gag order that concealed the spying operation.
Obstruction of Proceedings Before Congress (18 U.S.C. § 1505) — The gag order reportedly blocked the Senate’s ability to challenge or investigate the subpoenas.
Conspiracy Against Rights (18 U.S.C. § 241) — Boasberg allegedly conspired with Jack Smith’s office to violate the rights of sitting senators through judicial overreach and concealment.
Here are 3 criminal charges Pam Bondi could immediately arrest Judge Boasberg for over the Arctic Frost scandal. The third criminal charge would arrest Jack Smith as co-conspirator with Judge Boasberg. https://t.co/n1BX86FPv8pic.twitter.com/5tNu2wfKhV
Hi my name is James Boasberg. I am Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. I let off the only Jan 6th defendant that was on tape telling people to storm the Capitol beforehand. I later used this event to spy on hundreds of conservatives… pic.twitter.com/2KkVlak7xo
This isn’t the first time Boasberg has drawn criticism. He’s the same judge who allowed January 6 figure Ray Epps — caught on video urging people to storm the Capitol — to walk free.
According to legal expert Mike Davis:
“DC Obama Judge Jeb Boasberg endangered American and allied lives when he illegally exposed an ongoing military operation. Boasberg freed a NYC woman who traveled to the White House after threatening to kill President Trump. Boasberg allowed Team Biden to illegally spy on Trump allies. This included U.S. senators. And Boasberg illegally covered up the spying. The House must impeach Boasberg.”

The Arctic Frost scandal is snowballing fast — and it’s not just about phone records anymore. It’s about a justice system weaponized for politics, a judiciary shielding its own, and a government that appears willing to trample the Constitution to stop one man: Donald Trump.
If Pam Bondi takes up Mike Benz’s roadmap, Judge Boasberg could soon be facing the kind of accountability Washington elites thought they’d never see.
