Senators Outraged as Boasberg’s Gag Order Exposed
Senators Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz confirmed this week that their phone records — both official and campaign-related — were secretly obtained by Smith’s office. Even more disturbing, Judge Boasberg reportedly signed a gag order to ensure they wouldn’t find out for over a year.
Graham blasted both Smith and Boasberg, accusing them of “legal slander” and “constitutional abuse.” He didn’t hold back when he posted on X, calling Verizon “extremely irresponsible by complying” with the subpoena and saying it was a “violation of the Speech and Debate Clause of the U.S. Constitution.”
