Maxine Waters’ SHOCKING Outburst During Speaker Vote!

On Tuesday, during a heated vote, one of the House of Representatives’ most vociferous members was loudly booed and screamed down.

Representatives from all around the country gathered in the House Chambers for a critical floor vote to choose a new speaker.

The fierce fight between Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York and firebrand Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan is wonderfully caught on a riveting C-SPAN film.

The vote was mostly based on party loyalty, but a small contingent of Republicans voting against Jordan prevented the election of a new speaker.

Jeffries received the expected vote of support from California Rep. Maxine Waters.

Waters was driven by an unquenchable passion, which pushed her to vote against Jeffries despite her better judgment.

She fired a shot at Jordan out of the blue and provocatively, only to be met with a thunderous chorus of boos and cries.

One thing is certain: Waters clearly branded Jordan as a “insurrectionist,” which was greeted by a deafening chorus of boos. It may be difficult to uncover the underlying content of the film.

According to Politico’s Olivia Beavers, Jordan gave Waters a grin in return, while another Republican insulted her harshly.

Beavers claims that following Waters’ insulting statement regarding Jordan, a different House Republican interrupted and inquired, “Huh? What did the communist say?”

The heated exchange was confirmed by many reporters.

On a larger scale, it doesn’t look that Jeffries has a realistic chance of overtaking Jordan in the GOP-controlled House, despite Waters’s rhetorical jabs at the moment.

This would require the unanimous approval of all Democrats and the support of at least five Republicans in order to be accomplished.

Given the GOP’s obvious internal conflicts, it is difficult to envision any GOP legislator going against their party to back a Democrat. Their political future would be seriously threatened by such a choice.

As of early Tuesday afternoon, Jordan’s quest for the speakership lacked the requisite 217 votes. He is succeeding in persuading the surviving Republicans to back him, though.
