On Friday, Senator Ted Cruz made an important point regarding the Biden administration’s choice to concentrate on talks with Iran over nuclear weapons, namely that this endeavor could result in a lack of openness and accountability with regard to financial aid given to Ukraine. Many people around the world who want assurance that any new agreement is in everyone’s best interests echoed what he said.
Recently, Senator Ted Cruz raised a provocative query on his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz.” He questioned if, under the present Republican House leadership, it is currently possible to offer the Ukrainian government unrestricted funding. Instead, he advocated directing our attention and energies toward accomplishing specific, national strategic objectives.

Cruz also criticized Democrats for wearing Ukrainian flags as a virtue signal, comparing it to wearing a COVID mask, and suggested that it is driving Americans away from standing up to Russian aggression.
“I also think the focus needs to be on what our strategic national objective is. … For the Democrats, this has become a virtue signal. For the Democrats, they wear a Ukrainian flag,” Cruz said. “And it’s become a way, a Ukrainian flag has become like a COVID mask. It’s a sign to show your virtue.”
“It’s a little jarring seeing all of these images of him in a sweatshirt and fatigues next to Biden … It is a costume,” Cruz mentioned.

BEN FERGUSON, CO-HOST: “Do we have any accounting or any checks and balances for this now open-ended war [in Ukraine]?”
SEN. TED CRUZ (R-TX): … “We don’t have nearly as much accountability as we need. … The Biden administration is not providing the missiles that could take out those Iranian drones. Because their [the Biden admin’s] priority is kissing up to the Ayatollah and entering into a new nuclear deal with the Ayatollah, even if it undermines US national security.
Despite the fact that Ukraine’s government has received billions in aid, there is a disturbing lack of openness and accountability on the precise use of the funds. I recently had the opportunity to speak with an ambassador from a NATO nation that borders Ukraine, and we talked extensively about the progress that has been achieved in resolving their problem.
Congress’ tolerance for continued involvement in the situation in Ukraine has run out as Washington contends with a Republican House majority. Giving unfettered cash to the Ukrainian government seems increasingly improbable, even while help is still available to provide Ukrainians with the necessary weapons and ammunition for self-defense.
It’s clearer than ever that Ukraine has assumed center stage as the 2020 election draws nearer. Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, is adored by Democrats in particular; could he be the new Hottest Man Alive according to People Magazine? The nation itself has gained prominence, and the flag now has meanings that go far beyond simple symbolism; among many on the left who are attempting to define our future strategic national goal, it has come to represent virtue and moral fortitude.
Despite many Americans’ longstanding support for conservative beliefs, it’s hard to overlook the recent increase in Left-wingers dressed in Ukrainian flags and shouting praises of President Putin. This has generated a big breach between American conservatives who believe that standing up to Russia is necessary – leaving millions feeling alienated from their own political stance.
