Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, stripped of his royal privileges just weeks ago, has always rested his story on a single point: the photograph of him with a then-17-year-old Virginia Giuffre wasn’t real.
He clung to that line relentlessly, even during his infamous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview — the interview that torpedoed his public life.
“From the investigations that we’ve done, you can’t prove whether or not that photograph is faked or not because it is a photograph of a photograph of a photograph,” he insisted to journalist Emily Maitlis.
