Sanctuary states just got a wake-up call they can’t ignore.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed one jaw-dropping statistic that sent shockwaves through the country and panic through left-wing strongholds.
During a press conference in Gary, Indiana, Noem announced that federal and local authorities had arrested 223 illegal immigrants — including 146 who were driving semi-trucks without any legal right to be behind the wheel.
“If you are here driving on our streets and highways illegally, you are endangering our citizens, and your days are numbered,” Noem declared.
The numbers stunned even seasoned law enforcement officials. The arrests, part of a large-scale sweep called Operation Midway Blitz, exposed a staggering public safety failure created by sanctuary states like California, Illinois, and New York — all of which have been handing out commercial driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants in defiance of federal law.
