America’s small businesses are fighting for survival as Chuck Schumer’s government shutdown enters its fifth week — and now, one top official is blowing the whistle on what she calls a deliberate assault on Main Street.
According to Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler, this isn’t just political gridlock. It’s a calculated move by Senate Democrats to crush small businesses and force Republicans to surrender.
Appearing on Fox Business with Larry Kudlow, Loeffler didn’t hold back about who’s to blame for the shutdown’s economic fallout.
“This shutdown is having the intended effect by the Democrats,” Loeffler stated. “They want to hurt Main Street and that’s what they’re trying to do right now.”
Her words were chilling — “intended effect.” Loeffler accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and his caucus of intentionally destroying small businesses as leverage in their ongoing budget standoff.
And the facts back her up.
Schumer has repeatedly blocked the Republican continuing resolution, reportedly more than a dozen times, while demanding billions in Obamacare subsidies be extended immediately.
