A potential mass shooting in New York was stopped in its tracks thanks to the FBI and NYPD working together under the leadership of FBI Director Kash Patel.
On Friday, Patel revealed that a 16-year-old was arrested after police intercepted a credible threat to Benjamin Cardozo High School in Queens. The student had a loaded firearm in his backpack when officers moved in to detain him.

The FBI will continue to work tirelessly to protect our children,” Patel announced in a statement posted to X.
