President Donald Trump’s pick to lead the FBI, Kash Patel, faced an intense confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday morning. Democrats wasted no time launching attacks on Patel, attempting to discredit his qualifications, but he pushed back forcefully, defending his record and commitment to the Constitution.
The hearing turned especially tense when Patel sparred with Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), who questioned his experience and attempted to paint him as politically biased. Patel refused to back down, calling out the baseless attacks against him.

“Simply this: if the best attacks on me are going to be false accusations and grotesque mischaracterizations, the only thing this body is doing is defeating the credibility of the men and women at the FBI. I STOOD with them, here in this country, in every theater of war we have – I was on the ground in service,” Patel declared.
