Trump supporter and Arizona candidate Kari Lake wants the resignation of the GOP chairman who tried to buy her out of the U.S. Senate race.
Jeff DeWit has “gotta resign. We can’t have somebody who is corrupt and compromised running the Republican Party,” At former President Donald Trump’s victory celebration after his crushing defeat in the New Hampshire primary, Lake told NBC News.

DeWit, the former state treasurer, had a tense relationship with Lake. She approached him at a restaurant last year, saying he didn’t support her allegations that she was unfairly defeated in the 2022 campaign for governor. President Trump is under pressure, even though the majority of DeWit’s resignation demands are coming from conservative internet followers rather than well-known politicians or candidates. Given that DeWit served as the top operations officer for Trump’s 2016 campaign, it’s possible that Trump may persuade him to leave the position quietly.
Lake is demonstrating that she can finance her campaign without outside funding. An astounding $2 million has already been raised by her in the first quarter alone.
