In a heated debate on Wednesday night, conservative outspoken Kari Lake, a former candidate for governor of Arizona, decisively defeated the GOP presidential hopefuls. She questioned why all eight contenders dared to take on the powerful force of former President Donald Trump with a mix of humor and sarcasm.
The first GOP primary debate, Lake said in a recent appearance on One America News, was like the “kids’ table at Thanksgiving.” She answered right away when asked why there were fewer contenders this year than there were eight years before.

“I think because there so many people are smart and say why would we run against the most incredible president of our era?… We have the Babe Ruth, why are we going to have a bunch of tee-ball players running? And so I think most people realize it’s a futile effort, it’s stupid, it would actually hurt America to run against President Trump,” Lake said.
“I think people are too smart to run, but there are a few who aren’t. It’s kind of like the kids’ table at Thanksgiving. They’re going to be over there, throwing food and spilling stuff and causing trouble, but no one’s really going to be paying attention, I think, to this debate. I think people are going to be watching Trump and Tucker,” she added.

Trump has pledged to miss tonight’s debate and will instead appear with Carlson in a rival interview that may attract more people than the national Fox News telecast. He has stated to advisers that he is “up by too many points” and that it would be detrimental for him to run against opponents who are polling in the low single digits.
Recent surveys indicate that the governor of Florida Ron DeSantis and the billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy have little chance of defeating Trump. DeSantis initially pledged to back Trump’s ideas while staying away from “drama,” but his campaign has faltered and lost significant support. Ramaswamy, in the meantime, has taken a brave stand in support of the 45th president, even going so far as to promise to grant him a pardon if elected. He has filed Freedom of Information Act petitions to reveal possible political meddling in his own indictments as a result of his unrelenting search for the truth.

The panel for tonight’s discussion is exciting! Tim Scott, a senator from South Carolina, Chris Christie, a former governor of New Jersey, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, a former governor of South Carolina, and Asa Hutchinson, a former governor of Arkansas, all take the podium. However, owing to an unfortunate basketball game injury, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum might not be present.
