Kamala’s Staffers Scramble as Baier ‘Dismounted’!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

According to Baier, the interview with Harris had been tense from the beginning. In an article from Newsweek, Baier reflected on the gamesmanship he sensed from the Vice President and her team. “It was a little tense. We were given the time of 5 p.m. ET. Obviously, my show is at 6 p.m. They wanted to tape at 5 p.m.,” Baier explained. He emphasized that they had agreed to tape the interview “as live,” meaning the footage would be used without edits or interruptions, but only if it could be completed before 5:15 p.m.

Baier continued to describe how the interview was delayed, causing frustration on his end. “So we were waiting at 4:55, and then 5:00, and 5:05, and 5:10,” he said. Harris did not arrive until 5:17 p.m., which Baier suggested may have been a tactic by her team. “It did feel a little bit like they were icing the kicker,” Baier remarked, using a football analogy where one team attempts to disrupt the opposing team’s kicker by making them wait during a critical field goal attempt.

Initially, Baier’s team was told they would have 25 minutes with the Vice President, but that time was cut down to 20 minutes as the delays mounted. Baier implied that the shortened time frame was part of a larger strategy by Harris’s team to control the flow of the interview. “They gave us 20 minutes,” he added, pointing to the last-minute changes made by Harris’s team.

The Fox News host expressed his belief that Harris approached the interview with a specific goal in mind—seeking confrontation and, potentially, a viral moment. “I think she had a mission that she wanted to do, and maybe she wanted to have a viral moment. She wanted to have a pushback,” Baier speculated. He suggested that Harris came to Fox News with the intention of targeting former President Donald Trump in order to create a clip that would resonate on social media.

“She came to Fox News, and she wanted to go after Donald Trump—a viral moment that plays on a lot of other channels and on social media. And I think she may have gotten that,” Baier concluded.

The interaction between Baier and Harris has drawn attention for its tense ending, with some speculating that the Vice President’s team may have been more concerned with controlling the narrative than fully engaging in the interview. Baier’s comments suggest that the timing and execution of the interview may have been carefully orchestrated by Harris’s team to achieve specific media goals, particularly in crafting a soundbite that would make waves beyond Fox News.

In the wake of the interview, social media users and pundits have debated the motivations behind the interaction. While Harris supporters may argue that she held her ground, critics contend that the abrupt end signaled an avoidance of further scrutiny on key issues, such as her stance on the Middle East.

As the video continues to circulate online, it remains to be seen how the public will interpret this exchange. Baier’s reflections suggest that, despite the challenges of the interview, it may ultimately serve as a pivotal moment in the ongoing media landscape as the Vice President’s strategy becomes a talking point in its own right.
