For years, Democrats and their allies in the corporate media insisted the country was moving left. They claimed voters were demanding sweeping progressive change, bigger government, and a wholesale cultural reset.

Now, one of CNN’s own data analysts just aired numbers that blow that narrative to pieces.
When CNN’s Harry Enten put the latest polling on screen, it was not friendly to the party in power. The headline figure was stunning: 58% of voters now believe the Democratic Party is too liberal. That is not a fringe complaint. That is a majority of the country.
Democrats can dismiss conservative critics. They cannot ignore their own network’s data.
A Party That Drifted Left — Fast
The transformation did not happen overnight, but the acceleration over the last three decades is undeniable.
In 1999, just 5% of Democrats described themselves as “very liberal.” Today, that number stands at 21%. That is not incremental change. It is a political earthquake inside the party’s base.
