The Facts of the Case
Charlie Kirk, 31, was gunned down last week while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Authorities quickly identified the suspect as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, a Utah resident who was ultimately turned in by his own father through a pastor connected to law enforcement.
Earlier this week, Utah officials released disturbing text messages between Robinson and his transgender partner, Lance Twiggs, sent shortly after the murder. In the exchange, Robinson admitted why he targeted Kirk.
