Sitting down with NBC’s Kristen Welker, Vance cut through the usual Beltway spin. Instead of more chest-thumping about “fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian,” Vance laid out what a real peace strategy looks like.
“We’re actually not active parties in the negotiation. We’re effectively mediating,” Vance explained. “We’re trying to mediate Ukrainians and the Russians to come to some agreement.”
