Comparing ICE to “Slave Patrols”
During a weekend appearance on MSNBC’s Velshi, the Texas Democrat unleashed one of the most inflammatory attacks on law enforcement in recent memory.
“As somebody who understands history, when I see ICE, I see slave patrols,” Crockett declared.
She went even further, arguing that modern immigration enforcement is the same as the antebellum South’s hunt for runaway slaves.
“If you know the history of policing in this country, then you understand that they were born out of slave patrols,” she added.
