A quiet Wednesday morning in Dallas, Texas, was shattered when gunfire erupted at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, leaving multiple victims and a community demanding answers.
Officials confirmed that three individuals were shot during the violent attack, which unfolded before 7 a.m. local time. The shooter ultimately turned the weapon on himself, authorities said.
“This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life. FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities,” FBI Director Kash Patel announced on X.
As details emerged, authorities revealed chilling evidence pointing to an ideological motive. FBI Special Agent in Charge Joe Rothrock said investigators discovered ammunition at the scene carrying messages “anti-ICE in nature.”
