Homan Drops The Hammer: All Must Go!

White House border czar Tom Homan made a bold declaration Thursday, pledging to remain in Minnesota and personally oversee Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations “until the problem is gone.” His remarks signal that the Trump administration is refusing to back down amid ongoing unrest in the Twin Cities.

Homan spoke at a morning press conference in Minneapolis, his first since President Donald Trump dispatched him to the state earlier this week. The move comes in response to violent confrontations between anti-ICE protesters and federal agents, which have disrupted enforcement operations. While Homan acknowledged that the administration is working on a “drawdown plan” to eventually reduce the federal footprint, he stressed that enforcement will continue until local authorities step up cooperation.

The border chief highlighted a “very productive” meeting Wednesday with Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. According to Homan, Ellison agreed to notify ICE when local jails plan to release violent illegal aliens—a long-standing request from federal law enforcement officials.

“One ICE agent can arrest one bad guy when he’s behind the safety and security of a jail when he’s behind bars and we know he doesn’t have weapons,” Homan said. “But when you release that public safety threat illegal alien back into the community—we have a job to do. We’re going to arrest him, so we’re going to find him.”
