Hollywood Elites CELEBRATE Assassination?

Schwarzenegger speaks out

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has been no stranger to criticizing his own party in recent years, surprised many with a heartfelt message on X.
“Politics has become a disease in this country, and it’s deadly,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “But don’t listen to the pessimists who say there is no cure. There is a cure. It is inside of us.”

The Terminator star called on Americans to “find our better angels and walk back from the extremes” after Kirk’s murder.

Messages of sympathy from unlikely voices

Other Hollywood figures quickly followed. Actor Josh Duhamel shared a family photo of Kirk with his wife and children, reminding people that beyond politics, the tragedy was about two children losing their father.
“RIP Charlie Kirk. Please remember, no matter what your political beliefs, that this man had a wife and 2 beautiful children who no longer have him. Please pray for this madness to stop.”

Fitness personality Jillian Michaels, who had once appeared on Kirk’s show despite differences, also weighed in:
“The hatred that has seeped into our culture must stop. If we give in to this anger, if we allow hate to breed hate, we lose not only lives but our very humanity.”

Kirk’s critics forced to confront reality

Perhaps the most striking reactions came from Kirk’s long-time critics. Melissa Gilbert, known for her left-leaning politics, stunned many with her post:
“I’ve never agreed with Mr. Kirk but I do believe in his (and everyone’s) right to express himself without the fear of being shot.”

Maria Shriver, a Democrat activist, called the shooting “a tragedy for our country,” adding:
“This is not just a tragedy for his family. This is a tragedy for our country. No matter where you are on political spectrum. This is something we can all condemn.”

But the biggest shock came from Rosie O’Donnell, who has spent decades mocking conservatives and even left the U.S. this year claiming it was unsafe under Trump. Her reaction?
“No just no – do not become the murderer – this is wrong on every level.”

For someone who has long demonized the right, O’Donnell’s sudden appeal for restraint was nothing short of remarkable.

When rhetoric turns into violence

The harsh truth is that Robinson, the shooter, didn’t invent his hatred in isolation. Investigators say he carved “Hey, fascist!” and other Antifa-style slogans into his bullet casings. His family admitted he had become increasingly radical and “full of hate.”

For years, media and Hollywood voices have compared conservatives like Kirk to Nazis, cheering when they were deplatformed or silenced. But now that the rhetoric spilled over into murder, even the loudest critics seemed forced to recognize the human cost.

Country singer Jana Kramer may have said it best:
“We can disagree, have different views, share our truths …but what happened today and other days that end in violence and murder… No.”

The arrest and aftermath

Robinson was captured after his own father identified him from FBI photos and persuaded him to surrender. The shooter had driven to campus in a Dodge Challenger, climbed a rooftop 140 yards away, and fired a single round into Kirk’s neck as he answered a student’s question about mass shootings.

The irony of that moment – Kirk speaking about violence when he became its victim – was not lost on observers.

A rare moment of unity

For once, celebrities from both political camps dropped the slogans and admitted what should be obvious: murder is not politics. For an industry that thrives on outrage and division, the reactions were a sign that America may finally be staring into a mirror.

But the bigger question remains: will this brief moment of clarity last? Or will the same voices who condemned Kirk’s assassination go back to cheering censorship and fueling hatred once the headlines fade?

Charlie Kirk leaves behind his wife and two children. That is the reality of “political resistance” when it stops being about votes and turns into bullets.

Even Hollywood, for once, couldn’t ignore it.
