At the Doha Forum in Qatar, Clinton tore into the president’s newly released National Security Strategy, a 33-page document that emphasizes strategic restraint, securing borders, and recalibrating trade, rather than pursuing costly military interventions around the globe.
“That’s why the national security strategy is not to my liking, because I think the United States has an important role in trying to resolve these conflicts and alleviate the suffering and give people a chance to have peaceful, prosperous lives,” Clinton told Foreign Policy Editor-in-Chief Ravi Agrawal.¹
