Skeptics of the administration’s immigration policies, including former President Donald Trump, have voiced concerns that Democrats are quietly banking on these new voters to tilt future elections in their favor. While these claims are dismissed as “baseless” by the L.A. Times, conservatives see them as a real possibility, especially when statements from prominent Democrats seem to support their fears. For instance, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) recently pushed Vice President Kamala Harris to expedite a pathway to citizenship for all new arrivals. “We need the tools in order to have more resources at the border, to have more resources in the states and cities that are supporting migrants. And I believe we need to create a pathway to citizenship,” Warren stated in a July interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper. She added that Harris would “work with Congress and get that done.”
The concern from Republicans doesn’t end there. A recent attempt by U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to pass legislation ensuring stricter voter verification was stifled within the GOP itself. Johnson’s SAVE Act, which sought to require state election officials to better verify voters’ citizenship status, was ultimately dropped due to pressure from more hardline members of his party. They argued the act did not go far enough to prevent non-citizens from voting.
On the other hand, immigration advocates argue that not all new citizens will automatically lean toward the Democratic Party. Xiao Wang, who helps immigrants navigate the naturalization process, noted, “This is not part of some master conspiracy to flood the country with new Democratic voters. There’s a lot of statistics that show many immigrants share more in common with Republican values.” Despite these claims, data on the political leanings of new citizens is sparse. Nevertheless, smaller polls indicate that newly naturalized citizens may indeed favor Democrats, particularly following four years of President Biden’s relatively lenient border policies.
Bold, Durable, and Patriotic: Trump Yard Signs Selling Out!
A recent poll from the National Partnership for New Americans, which works with immigrants in Arizona, showed that 54% of new citizens polled said they would vote for Vice President Harris if she were the Democratic nominee, while 38% indicated they would back former President Trump. These numbers suggest a notable Democratic lean among the new voter base, though opinions remain varied.
The debate over immigration, citizenship, and voting rights is far from over. While the Biden administration continues to defend its policies as part of a broader effort to reform the immigration system, Republicans are more convinced than ever that Democrats are using immigration to secure a political advantage. The coming years will undoubtedly see more scrutiny on this issue, as both sides gear up for future elections where these new voters could make all the difference.

If it’s true that this ISN’T some ploy to increase the Democrat voting stock by “Creating” new citizens, then why couldn’t it wait just two more months, just 60 days, until AFTER the elections? If you’d done that, there would be much less outrage about it. Because doing it now, so close to the election sure looks like desperation from the Democratic party to me.
Everyone forgets that non-citizens can NOT vote in any of our elections as it is breaking the law as per 15, 24, and 26th amendment which clearly states that ONLY CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY has the right to vote.
If true Kamala Harris is responsible for illegals voting, then legal action needs to be taken ASAP . Must be stopped now !!!
