North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who is also running for governor, was reportedly hospitalized after a campaign event, sparking widespread concern just as his campaign faces intense scrutiny. The hospitalization occurred Friday night, shortly after a bombshell report linked Robinson to inflammatory online posts that have caused a major stir in political circles. These allegations, however, are vehemently denied by Robinson, who insists they are part of a calculated smear campaign designed to derail his gubernatorial bid.
According to a CNN report, the Republican candidate has been accused of making years-old posts on an adult entertainment website under the username “minisoldr,” in which he allegedly defended slavery, referred to himself as a “Black Nazi,” and even praised Adolf Hitler’s infamous autobiography, Mein Kampf. The report suggests that Robinson’s online remarks, dating back over a decade, contain racially insensitive comments and extreme ideologies that directly contradict his current political positions. Robinson, however, has fiercely denied the authenticity of these posts, calling them “fabricated” and accusing CNN of attempting to distract voters from the real issues facing North Carolina.

“Make no mistake about it. We are not going to let CNN throw us off of our mission,” Robinson stated in a recent interview. He went on to highlight the pressing problems North Carolinians face, including the opioid epidemic and border security, asserting that his campaign remains focused on addressing those issues despite the media firestorm.
