Florida Takes a Stand: Ron DeSantis Declares State of Emergency

Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, has made it plain through a recently enacted statute that he opposes the concept of implementing a “digital dollar” to replace current currency. The establishment of a Central Bank Digital Currency or any other kind of cryptocurrency is prohibited by state legislation.

President Biden is still advocating for the creation of a government reserve that uses “digital cash.” Experts worry that an overzealous surveillance and control of citizens’ private expenditure may result from a government-run system like this.

In order to prevent the federal government from using CBDC, Florida’s new law removes it from the Uniform Commercial Code’s definition of money. Additionally, the law safeguards consumers by outlawing CBDC that is issued abroad and thwarting efforts by globalists to create a unified digital currency.

“The government and large credit card companies should not have the power to shut off access to your hard-earned money because they disagree with your politics,” DeSantis stated in a press release.

“Biden’s Central Bank Digital Currency aims to increase government control over people’s finances, and we will not allow it,” he said.  “In Florida, we value personal freedom and won’t allow self-interested elites to chip away at our liberty.”

In an effort to combat “woke” environmental, social, and governance (ESG), DeSantis invites a coalition of 20 states to join him in outlawing CBDC.

Jimmy Patronis, the CFO for Florida, issues a warning on President Biden’s plan to create a digital currency that is under centralized management.

Patronis claims that the radical Left wants to “weaponized” the digital currency against its adversaries.

“It’s just another way for Floridians to have their vital financial information surveilled and controlled by the federal government,” he added.

By making a measure into law that specifically targets credit card firms’ usage of merchant category codes for firearms, governor DeSantis made a significant statement. The measure outlaws the use of these codes and sanctions businesses that violate Florida’s consumer protection laws. These procedures protect gun owners’ privacy and restrict the formation of unauthorized gun owner registries.

Adamantly committed to defending Florida’s economy, consumers, and individual liberties is Governor DeSantis. His primary priorities are the privacy and safety of Floridians, and he is working hard to uphold the state’s independence in matters involving money and gun regulation.
