The investigation into Charlie Kirk’s shocking murder has now widened far beyond a lone suspect. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed this week that federal agents are running down leads on dozens of individuals tied to an online chatroom where the killer bragged about his crime.
During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) pressed Patel on the size of the group. “I see the public reports that the Discord thread had as many as 20 additional users,” Hawley said. Patel’s answer was blunt: “It’s a lot more than that. We’re running them all down.”
Patel revealed that not only have agents already questioned multiple people, but “there are a number of individuals that are currently being investigated and interrogated — and a number yet to be investigated and interrogated related to that chatroom.” When asked if others may have been involved, Patel answered, “Yes, sir.”
