Joe Rothrock, head of the FBI’s Dallas Field Office, confirmed investigators found multiple rounds marked with the same anti-ICE message.
“What I can share with you is that early evidence we’ve seen from rounds that were found near the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti-ICE in nature. Again, this is just the most recent example of this type of attack,” Rothrock told reporters Wednesday morning.
The shooter, 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, ultimately died from what police described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
While no ICE officers were injured, the attack still claimed two lives and left another person fighting for survival.
What’s even more disturbing? The FBI says this wasn’t an isolated event.
Director Patel connected this attack to a broader pattern targeting immigration enforcement facilities across the country.
“These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland, Texas, where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers,” Patel wrote.
Federal investigators are now tracking these attacks as part of a coordinated effort to intimidate law enforcement officers doing their jobs.
“It has to end, and the FBI and our partners will lead these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice,” Patel declared.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz minced no words when addressing the climate of hate surrounding ICE agents.
“Politicians demanding that ICE agents be doxed and calling for people to go after their families: stop,” Cruz said at the press conference. “Violence has no place. It is wrong, and we should come together.”
Let’s be honest—this is exactly what conservatives warned about.
For years, Democrats and their allies in the media have vilified ICE agents as villains rather than public servants protecting our borders and communities.
They’ve demanded the agency be dismantled. They’ve cheered on activists who “doxed” officers, putting their families in danger.
And now the radical Left’s demonization campaign has escalated from hateful words to deadly attacks.
This wasn’t just violence—it was political violence. The proof is carved into the bullets themselves.
If Washington doesn’t condemn this rhetoric and stop emboldening anti-law enforcement radicals, it’s only a matter of time before more officers—and more innocent Americans—pay the price.
