FBI Traces Digital Footprints and Moves In
Using records from TikTok, Google, and Comcast, agents traced the account “@liminalvoidslip” to Avalos’ Samsung Galaxy phone and St. Paul apartment. Surveillance teams then observed Avalos leaving the building bearing his name on the mailbox, confirming his identity beyond doubt.
Federal agents arrested Avalos on October 16, charging him with Interstate Transmission of a Threat to Injure the Person of Another, a serious federal offense carrying potential prison time.
Anarchist Symbols, Violent Past, and Extremist Ideology
The deeper the FBI dug, the darker it got. Avalos’ TikTok page was littered with anarchist imagery and linked to “An Anarchist FAQ book”, revealing an obsession with anti-government extremism.
FBI Special Agent Caleb Jurchisin, a domestic terrorism investigator, flagged the account as “credible and dangerous.”
Avalos’ criminal record paints the picture of a violent repeat offender.
He was convicted of felony stalking in 2022, felony domestic battery in Florida in 2016, and domestic assault in Minnesota the same year. The earlier charge had even been listed as assault by strangulation before being downgraded.
Authorities say that combination of violent behavior and extremist ideology made his TikTok bounty a clear and immediate threat.
Federal prosecutors made one thing clear — this wasn’t “free speech.” It was a criminal conspiracy to commit political violence.
Avalos was released by U.S. Magistrate Judge Douglas Micko under strict surveillance: GPS tracking, a curfew, a total ban on internet use without approval, and mandatory mental health treatment.
Pattern of Left-Wing Threats Growing Nationwide
Avalos isn’t alone. Federal officials say this is part of a disturbing trend of violent threats against conservatives and Trump administration figures.
Just weeks earlier, Wisconsin resident Andrew Stanton was arrested for posting TikTok videos calling for ICE agents to be shot and killed. “If ICE shows up to your neighborhood, it’s time to start shooting at them,” Stanton allegedly said.
Trump Administration Strikes Back
President Donald Trump has reportedly ordered a government-wide crackdown on what he calls “left-wing domestic terrorism.” A new presidential memorandum directs federal agencies to disrupt networks financing political violence, with Attorney General Bondi leading the effort.
Bondi’s office has been tasked with prioritizing investigations into “organized doxing campaigns, swatting, rioting, looting, trespass, assault, destruction of property, threats of violence, and civil disorder.”
Following the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, the administration vowed to go on offense.
Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller called it “the first time in American history that there is an all-of-government effort to dismantle left-wing terrorism.”
As part of the push, Antifa has been designated a domestic terrorist organization, and the IRS has been ordered to review tax-exempt groups suspected of funding political violence.
A Message to Every Radical Leftist
Prosecutors now must prove Avalos’ post crossed the line into a “true threat” under the First Amendment — but with a bounty, a criminal record, and extremist motives, that may be an easy case to make.
Avalos thought he could broadcast a $45,000 hit on a federal official to millions of TikTok users and walk away untouched.
He was wrong.
The FBI had him in custody within days. And the message from the Trump administration couldn’t be clearer:
If you threaten government officials, expect to pay the price.
