A chilling new development has emerged in the case of Nicholas Roske — the California man arrested outside Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home in 2022 after plotting his assassination.
Court filings this week reveal that Roske, now 29, told a Maryland judge that he identifies as a transgender woman named Sophie. Prosecutors are pushing for a 30-year sentence under a plea deal after he admitted to attempting to kill a sitting Supreme Court Justice.
A Dangerous Plot Against Justice Kavanaugh
Roske was arrested after traveling across the country to Kavanaugh’s Maryland residence carrying burglary tools and deadly weapons. Instead of carrying out his plan, he called authorities and turned himself in just outside the Justice’s home.
At the time, he admitted he was suicidal and driven by dark motives. But what’s surfaced now makes the case even more disturbing.
